This old RCA 44-BX is in excellent shape. It just received a fresh ribbon and new silks from RCA specialist Big D Broadcast Exchange. A new cable with the original wiring was also just installed. The microphone works perfectly fine and sounds great.
The previous broadcast company had adapted an interesting but outdated type of connector in the back of the microphone (low profile XLR alike), which explains the 3 holes in the back. Unfortunately it was impossible to find a female end counterpart of that connector to fit a new cable, so the microphone was retrofitted back to the original cabling configuration.
This RCA 44-BX also comes with a waterproof case.
