Ludwig/Leedy 4.0 Octave Marimba

Selling my vintage Ludwig/Leedy 4-octave marimba. This is a beautiful older rosewood instrument with a warm, classic sound and a lot of character. It has been refinished and professionally maintained, and the bars were worked on by Century Mallet in Chicago.

This instrument has been gigged on, but only by me as a professional player. It has been used for chamber music, recordings, professional performances, and teaching, and I've taken great care of it

The range is 4 octaves. It is a great option for a player who wants a real rosewood marimba with a vintage sound, without jumping all the way into the size, weight, and cost of a modern 4.3 or 5-octave instrument.

Search "Nine Worlds Ensemble" on YouTube. This marimba was used on all of those recordings and performances, so there are plenty of real-world examples of how it sounds in an ensemble context.

I'm also including a set of custom cases that I had made for it by Coe Percussion.
