2010s Greg Rich designed, made in " The Carved Workshop" Fern LM-400-VS " A" mandolin. All solid, hand carved, hand graduated high quality woods. The fern was an earlier version with nitrocellulose finish, and it is louder and woodier than later poly torch versions. This mandolin is loud and woody, and almost plays itself. This, and it's brother, the LM-700-VS, made history as the only mandolins designed to have no bracing or tone bars under the top. This may be the last one you'll ever see for sale.
