Notable Features

The Ego Compressor V2 is based around parallel compression, allowing compressed and uncompressed signals to be blended together using the Blend control.

The Attack control provides adjustment of the compressor's response time, making it possible to retain pick attack and playing dynamics while still controlling overall signal level.

A dedicated Tone control allows high frequencies to be restored after compression, helping maintain clarity and presence.

The pedal is capable of subtle always-on compression, country-style snap and sustain, clean tone enhancement, and more pronounced compressed sounds for lead playing.

The Ego Compressor has become one of Wampler's best-known designs and is widely used as both a transparent compressor and tone-shaping tool.
