Selling my Mesa Boogie Lone Star 100W tube amp head.

This is one of the best-sounding amplifiers I have ever owned. The Lone Star is known for its huge, three-dimensional clean tones, rich harmonic complexity, and incredibly touch-sensitive overdrive. The clean channel delivers huge lows, detailed and punchy mids, and a smooth top end that stays articulate even at high volumes. The drive channel ranges from bluesy breakup to thick, singing lead tones with outstanding note bloom and sustain. It is a highly dynamic amp that responds beautifully to picking nuance and guitar volume changes. This is a professional-grade amplifier suitable for studio, stage, or home use. I can’t say enough good things about this amp, and I hate to let it go.

This amp functions perfectly. It was recently inspected and serviced by Carlos Oade in Thomasville, GA. The tubes have plenty of life left, and the amp is operating exactly as it should. There are a few minor tolex imperfections that can be seen in the photos, but nothing that affects performance.

• Original metal preamp tube shields (removed due to SPAX7 tube diameter)
• Five used 12AX7 preamps tubes (not installed - I’m just throwing these in)

The SPAX7 tubes provide lower noise, improved clarity, and a more refined top end. Because SPAX7 tubes have a slightly larger outside diameter than standard 12AX7s, the metal tube shields were removed; they are included in case you want to reinstall them with standard preamp tubes.
