I am offering a Gibson Memphis ES-339 Ebony Satin from 2015, a still manufactured in Memphis, Tennessee (USA), semi-hollow electric guitar model featuring top, back, and sides made of laminated maple, including a solid maple center block (at only 3.35kg total weight!), set mahogany neck with Traditional “C” neck profile and 42.5mm bone nut, bound rosewood fingerboardfeaturing 22 Medium Jumbo frets and aged Pearl block inlays, two tonally versatile Gibson Burstbucker 1 & 2 humbucker pickups, high-quality Tone Pro AVR-2 bridge including locking stopbar as well as Grover Rotomatic Milk Bottle tuners in an satin ebony finish, in very good condition, including a brown Gibson hardshell case, manufacturer’s paperwork, and professional setup with Elixir 10-gauge strings.

The ES-339 was introduced in 2007 by the Gibson Custom Shop in Memphis as a more compact version of the legendary ES-335—with the goal of bringing the classic semi-hollow sound to a more manageable size. Despite its reduced body size, the airy, warm tonal character is preserved thanks to the solid maple center block, the laminated maple construction, and the traditional semi-hollow body design. The ES-339 thus combines the look and tonal potential of an ES-335 with the playing comfort of a Les Paul—ideal for players seeking the best of both worlds.

This 2015 ES-339, still crafted in Memphis and finished in Satin Ebony, delivers impressive tone thanks to two Gibson Burstbucker 1 & 2 humbuckers, which are prized for their warm vintage tone, dynamic response, and finely defined overtones. Whether it’s jazz, blues, classic rock, or pop—the ES-339 covers a wide spectrum and consistently delivers nuanced, musical results, both clean and distorted. The classic 3-way switch with separate volume and tone controls ensures flexibility.

The medium-width Traditional “C” neck profile sits comfortably in the hand without feeling too bulky. The bound rosewood fingerboard with a 12-inch radius offers excellent playability all the way up to the high registers, while the high-quality Grover Rotomatic Milk Bottle tuners guarantee precise and stable tuning. Weighing just 3.35 kg, the instrument is also quite light.

A sound sample of this model (available only in the Sunburst Gloss finish) can be found at the top of the photo gallery.

The Ebony Satin Nitro finish gives the instrument not only incredible acoustic resonance but also an elegant, timeless appearance. Combined with the creamy white binding, the black pickguard, and the shimmering, subtly aged Block Pearl fretboard inlays, the result is a tasteful and elegant look.
