The Terratec SoundSystem DMX 6fire 24/96 is a PCI sound card and audio interface built around the IC Ensemble Envy 24 (ICE1712) DSP chip, delivering 24-bit/96 kHz audio with a 36-bit hardware digital mixer. Its AD/DA converters achieve a signal-to-noise ratio of up to 110 dB, making it a capable card for high-resolution recording and playback. The package centres on a front rack module that expands connectivity considerably, offering RCA line and phono (MM) inputs, a 6.3 mm mic input, a 6.3 mm headphone output, RCA line outputs, TOS-Link optical and RCA coaxial S/PDIF in and out, and 5-pin DIN MIDI in and out.
