Amazing and not too common 89’ Standard in Alpine White with gold hardware and OHSC

The guitar more recently suffered a stress crack on the back of the headstock due to some over tightening of the truss rod as well as a larger finish check on the treble side of the neck binding near the nut (see photos)

Otherwise just your typical run of the mill beautiful nicks, dings, checking, and yellowing accumulated from its near 40 years of existence.

The bottom of the original plastic neck pickup ring is cracked The original frets look great still with no real discernible wear to report. See pics for condition and please excuse any reflections. And hopefully this goes without saying but please expand pics to see condition more accurately.

Just to state the obvious, it's rare to find a white Standard from this era with gold hardware. And the gold really makes the cream binding pop on this thing! Like most white finishes from this era, it's darken a bit over the years to a beautiful butter cream hue.

The original pickups and covers are stored in the OHSC but the guitar has been replaced with newer silver Lace Humbuckers. FWIW any and all configurations sound fantastic and exactly how’d you’d hope.

Like many older Gibson's (and some newer), the truss rod sits pretty far back in the cavity so there wasn't much room between the truss rod nut and truss rod cavity wall to get a wrench around the nut. So the previous guitar shop sanded back the truss rod cavity a bit to accommodate a truss rod wrench.

They also put a StewMac truss rod spacer on the truss rod to get some more room out of. That said, it is on the tighter end of its range.

This is an incredibly cool LP Standard that plays and sounds great that's in arguably the coolest finish option ever with tons of killer mojo to round out the package.

Comes with the original hard shell case. The guitar weighs 9lbs 14.3oz.

The nut width is 1.695". The neck thickness is.815" at the 1st fret and 950" at the 12th fret.
