This model is the “Classic,” featuring the passive circuit specification of the long-established JB series.

It features an alder body, a Honduran rosewood fingerboard, and the original H.Y.G JB-CLASSIC pickups.

The controls are extremely simple, consisting of 2 volume and 1 tone knobs.

Because it does not use an active circuit, the true quality of the instrument itself is put to the test—and this model delivers without compromise.

With the brand’s signature tight response and clear intonation across all positions, its sound—carrying a low center of gravity essential for ensemble playing—boasts such a high level of refinement that it makes active circuits seem unnecessary.

While Moon typically uses an ultra-thin lacquer finish as standard for passive models, we have deliberately opted for a urethane finish this time.

The added thickness of the finish not only makes it more resistant to damage but also tightens the sound and adds body.

In addition to the polyurethane finish, this custom order from our shop features a push/pull tone control that allows you to switch to a series configuration.
