This “Crafted in Japan” Strat is uncommon outside of its country of origin, featuring a set of Fender's American Vintage 57/62 single coil pickups and ‘70s-spec appointments including a large headstock with block logo, black-on-white plastics, three-bolt neck plate, and block saddles.

Fender’s American Vintage 57/62 single coil pickups feature black fiber bobbins, staggered alnico magnets, and cloth-covered leads, and these pickups deliver a bevy of traditional Strat tonalities. The neck pickup is full and bell-like, with a throaty zing, the bridge has great sparkle and snap, and the “in-between” positions on the five-way pickup selector switch yield hollow spank.
