The Dingwall Combustion 5 is a modern, high-performance 5-string bass designed to punch well above its price point, delivering massive tone, clarity, and rock-solid playability for both studio sessions and live gigs. With final fretwork and setup handled by Dingwall’s expert team in Canada, the Combustion offers boutique-level refinement without the boutique price.

The swamp ash body is light, compact, and ergonomically shaped (based on the Custom Shop Afterburner), making it comfortable for long sessions while remaining capable of everything from smooth, articulate grooves to aggressive, mix-cutting riffs. A five-piece maple neck paired with Dingwall’s fanned-fret, multi-scale design provides exceptional string tension balance, fast feel, and unmatched clarity across the entire fingerboard.

Loaded with Dingwall FD3n neodymium pickups and a flexible 3-band preamp, the Combustion delivers punchy, articulate tones that stay focused and defined in any mix. The 4-position Quad-Tone pickup selector and active/passive switch offer a wide range of usable sounds without unnecessary complexity.
