The most famous 12-string guitar. The Rickenbacker 360/12 V64 is a superb recreation of the '64 style, delivering a crisp, well-defined sound.
The 360/12 is a 12-string version of the 360 that debuted in the 1960s and is considered one of the first 12-string electric guitars.Featuring a maple body with distinctive double binding, a maple neck, a rosewood fingerboard, and two Top-Top pickups, it also boasts a "C"-shaped tailpiece, a vintage-style truss rod cover, strategically placed 12-string tuners, and controls consisting of 2 Volume, 2 Tone, and a 3-way selector switch, with a mini-knob serving as a "Fifsko" control (for trimming the front pickup).
Known for being used by George Harrison of The Beatles, as well as Roger McGuinn of The Byrds and Tom Petty, this model is an indispensable guitar in the Liverpool sound and progressive genres, renowned for its clear and crisp tone.
The bridge cover is missing, and there are signs of wear (discoloration, overall roughness of the finish, peeling and cracks in the binding, paint buildup on the truss rod cover, minor scratches and scuffs, scuffs and wipe marks, picking marks, fingerboard fret marks, tarnished metal parts, etc.). The hard case also shows rust on the metal parts due to age.
The guitar was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, and string height adjustment). The frets are at a height suitable for playing, and the truss rod has been checked up to 60 degrees in both directions and is in good working order.
