AKAI CD3000XL Midi Stereo Digital Sampler w Fantastic upgrades

If you’re looking at this unit, then you know this is that S3000XL punchy engine, further enhanced with an internally integrated NOS CD-ROM drive.

This is an original Japanese unit (100V), safely and professionally converted for Universal 100V-240V line power. With an internal auto-switching Universal Switch Mode PSU (power supply unit) this unit can safely be used anywhere on Earth, and in the known Universe where electricity is available.

**No step up/step down transformers required.**

Be cautious of any Japanese Market samplers and instruments originally rated for 100V, being sold without a proper Universal Switch Mode PSU (100V-240v), in a 120V market. Feeding a 100V 20% more voltage than it was rated for will stress the internal components without the use of a Step Down transformer. There are sellers doing this with no transparency.

Anyhow, back to our fully overhauled CD3000XL... restored with:

• New, upgraded EPROM with OS v2.0 (latest)
• 32MB/16MWords (2x 16MB) installed - Maxed out
• Spent, original PSU removed, replaced with BRAND NEW Mean Well PSU - carefully calibrated and professionally, securely mounted to chassis, and professionally grounded
• Old floppy drive pulled, replaced with BRAND NEW ZuluSCSI drive w BLACK mounting bracket
  **Unit is configured for native file transfer from internal CD-ROM drive to ZuluSCSI, via dedicated SCSI IDs**
• 10x new 16GB SD cards, individually formatted and partitioned (A-F). SD card includes 120+ library volumes on each SD, of AKAI S1000/S1100/S3000/MPC sample libraries from the 90's, classic Roland analog synths and drum machines, 808s, 909s, Juno, Jupiter, Super Jupiter, DX7, Moog, Prophet, Oberheim synths, and 1990's vintage multi-sample libraries containing basses, guitars, pads, leads, wind instruments, orchestral sounds and samples, drum breaks, drum kits, analog and digital FX, and much more
• Fully operation SCSI port on rear, for further expansion
• Old buzzy inverter removed
• Brand New White on Indigo LCD display (Beautiful, isn’t it?)
