Price reduced from $6,000 to $5,400, down 10%. This 2007 ES-335 is in original condition as it left the Memphis factory, apart from strap locks added by me. There is binding to the front and back edges of the body, and along the full length of the neck. All electrics have been tested and are working without issue. The rosewood fretboard has been cleaned and lemon oiled. The neck is straight and the action is low with no buzzing or high spots. Frets are in excellent condition and have plenty of life left in them. Paintwork has been cleaned and is in very good condition with some small dings and light buckle-rash on the back of the guitar. Tuners are Gibson Deluxe with tulip-shaped knobs. I still have and will pass on the original truss rod wrench. I have resisted polishing hardware such as the bridge and tailpiece, preferring to leave the patina acquired over the age of the guitar.

This ES-335 was manufactured in 2007 at Gibson’s Memphis plant. When the Memphis factory closed, manufacturing was transferred to Gibson’s Nashville facility. The Memphis plant was also where Gibson produced Custom guitars. This ES-335 comes with its original Custom case, even though it is not a Custom guitar. You can check out this story on Google. The case has an internal ‘blanket’ of silk-like material which lies on top of the guitar before the case is closed, providing additional protection.

The Gibson ES-335 is a semi-hollow body electric guitar introduced by the Gibson Guitar Corporation as part of its ES (Electric Spanish) series. It has a solid maple wood block running through the centre of its body with hollow upper bouts and two violin-style f-holes cut into the top over the hollow chambers.

The reason I’m selling? I prefer to use Fender Telecasters in my band role, and this ES-335 has sat in its case for the last 6 years, unused. It’s time to find it a new home. If it helps, I’ll ship courier the guitar-in-case at buyer’s expense. Otherwise, it can be picked up when payment is cleared. Cash is preferred.
