The A7V speaker from the A Series represents the evolution of ADAM Audio's flagship, award-winning A7X. This two-way speaker combines a new 7-inch (18 cm) woofer made of multi-layer mineral fiber (MLM) with ADAM Audio's handcrafted X-ART precision tweeter for a wide frequency response of 41 Hz to 42 kHz. Rotating HPS Waveguide and X-ART Tweeter

ADAM Audio's High-Frequency Propagation System (HPS) waveguide technology allows the tweeters to disperse sound with controlled homogeneity: wide horizontally and highly precise vertically. The A Series introduces a rotating HPS waveguide. You can rotate the A Series tweeters in 90-degree increments to continue benefiting from HPS waveguide technology, whether your speakers are positioned horizontally or vertically.

The A Series HPS waveguide is made from a new glass fiber-reinforced polymer compound that contributes to a clear, resonance-free sound. At the heart of this rotating HPS waveguide is the ADAM Audio X-ART tweeter. Handcrafted in Germany, the X-ART tweeter delivers precise transient response and reproduces even the finest sonic details. This X-ART tweeter is featured in all A Series speakers, ensuring detailed and consistent sound across the entire range.

Multi-layer Mineral Bass Driver

The A Series bass drivers are constructed from a unique blend of mineral stone fibers baked together to create a lightweight and extremely stable material. The mineral composition, layering, and geometry of each cone are specific to the driver used in each model. Thanks to the combination of this material with a new magnetic system, the A-Series woofers produce a high output level with low distortion, for clean and precise bass.

Hybrid Amplification

The A-Series combines the best of the digital and analog worlds. The woofers are powered by Class D amplifiers that ensure linear performance while minimizing distortion. These amplifiers were selected for their power and efficiency, both in terms of energy consumption and sound reproduction. Low heat dissipation allows for a more compact heat sink, which has freed up resources for greater investment in the exceptional power and performance of the A-Series.

The tweeters and midrange drivers are powered by Class AB amplifiers that deliver smooth and natural high-frequency reproduction. Each amplifier is optimized for its operating range, resulting in a perfectly tuned and aligned speaker. To achieve this result, ADAM Audio conducted numerous measurements and listening sessions, testing a wide range of amplifiers and components.

Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Electronics

The A Series harnesses the transformative power of digital signal processing (DSP) electronics to deliver greater tuning precision and predictability than analog speakers. With firmware updates via an Ethernet connection, you'll benefit from ADAM Audio's latest DSP features over time, including new filter types and characteristics, as well as alternative sound profiles.

Room Adaptation

On the rear panel of the A Series speakers, you'll find four EQ bands for room adaptation: Bass, Desk, Presence, and Treble. Each band is adjustable in preset steps, providing over 100 tuning options to compensate for typical acoustic issues related to speaker placement.

Sound Profiles

A sound profile is a preset sound profile for the A-Series monitors. On the back, you'll find two options: "UNR" and "Pure." The "Ext" option is dedicated to the extended features offered by A Control via the Ethernet connection.

"UNR," or "Uniform Natural Response™," is a dynamic and natural response curve, an exclusive ADAM Audio design derived from many of the brand's iconic products, including the previous AX Series. It's particularly well-suited for production, composition, and songwriting, as its immersive and present sound fosters creativity and inspiration. It's also an excellent choice for simply listening to music with your speakers.

"Pure" is an option offering a Very precise and neutral. This "flat" setting is ideal for mixing and mastering, where it's essential to pay attention to every detail and rely on faithful sound reproduction from your speakers.

The "Ext" option is dedicated to the extended features offered by A Control via the Ethernet connection. Thanks to A Control's six-band equalizer, it's possible to create a custom sound and apply it to the monitor.

A Control (Real-Time Remote Control)

The DSP features of all A Series monitors can be controlled remotely and in real time via Ethernet using the free A Control software. This software is available for download for Windows and macOS from MyADA.

Once downloaded and installed, the software allows you to control multiple speakers simultaneously and precisely adjust EQ and delay from different listening positions in your studio. While you work, you can remotely control monitor levels if you're away from a console or physical interface. This remote control feature is especially useful in multipurpose rooms, allowing you to verify that the sound, EQ, and other settings are exactly as you want them.

Acoustic Correction and Sonarworks Integration

The A-Series speakers are designed to adapt to evolving needs, preferences, and environments. With A Control software, you can apply advanced filters directly to a platform integrated into the monitors to compensate for room acoustic imperfections. This integrated platform supports the filters from market-leading Sonarworks. Using Sonarworks software and a measurement microphone, you can calibrate your speakers for a new room or to your specific preferences.

Bass Reflex System, Subwoofers, and Mounting

The new A-Series subwoofers build upon the legacy of ADAM Audio, and more specifically, the AX Series. Benefiting from an evolutionary design, the A-Series cabinets feature deeper bevels to further reduce diffraction. Additionally, thicker baffle walls reinforce the cabinets and reduce internal vibration, while a flared port optimizes airflow and reduces port noise. All A-Series speakers are equipped with a bottom-mount interface, providing you with greater installation flexibility.
