The Ibanez KIKO10BP is a Premium Series signature electric guitar for virtuoso Kiko Loureiro (Megadeth, Angra). It is often confused with the Japanese-made Prestige (KIKO100) but is actually part of the Indonesian Premium line, offering a more affordable yet high-performance version of his signature design.
Body Construction: Features a solid Alder body with a Flamed Maple top, finished in Transparent Gray Burst (TGB).
Neck Design: A 5-piece Maple/Walnut bolt-on neck reinforced with KTSâ„¢ Titanium rods for enhanced stability. It uses a custom "KIKO10P" profile that is rounder than the standard Ibanez Wizard neck.
Fretboard: Rosewood (or Panga Panga in 2018–2020 models) with a 400mm (15.7") radius and 24 Jumbo frets featuring Premium fret edge treatment. It includes a unique KIKO special inlay at the 12th fret.
Pickups (HSH Configuration): Equipped with custom-designed DiMarzio® KIKO original pickups:
Neck: Humbucker (Passive/Ceramic)
Middle: Single-coil (Passive/Alnico)
Bridge: Humbucker (Passive/Ceramic)
Bridge & Hardware: Edge-Zero II tremolo bridge with a lower profile for playing comfort and a locking nut for tuning stability.
All hardware is finish in Black
Unique Features & Electronics
Coil-Tap Switch: The volume control includes a push/pull function that acts as a coil-tap for the neck and bridge humbuckers, significantly expanding the guitar's tonal variety.
Ergonomics: Designed with a deeper cut lower horn (scoop cutaway) at the back of the body, allowing for unrestricted access to the higher frets.
Tilt-in Jack: Features a tilt-positioned output jack on the side of the body, designed to hold guitar cables more securely than standard face-mounted jacks.
Scale Length: Standard 25.5" (648mm).
