The Juliet Collective Crash Override Fuzz 2000's - Red
"The Juliet Collective was a boutique guitar pedal company based in Mississippi (active around 2009–2013) known for hand-built, unique distortion and modulation effects, often housed in custom cylindrical, flying-saucer-shaped enclosures. Their most notable pedals include the Orange Cream (Cream-era Clapton fuzz) and the Circadia. YouTube +4Key details regarding The Juliet Collective:
- Orange Cream Parallel Distortion: A hand-soldered pedal designed to emulate the "Disraeli Gears" tone of Eric Clapton, featuring a two-knob, parallel clipping stage design.
- Circadia: Described as a polyrhythmic auto-wah with tremolo-like character, known for having unconventional, complex controls.
- Other Models: Included the "Crash Override" fuzz/distortion and "This Kingdom by the Sea".
- Design & Rarity: Pedals are known for artistic, often screen-printed graphics on metal and plastic, and are now considered rare, sought-after, and collectible. YouTube +6"
Really loud fuzz. No volume control. Includes power supply.
"It’s a two-transistor silicon fuzz with added Low and High tone controls. Those are the only knobs, so think of it as a fuzz with the Fuzz and Volume controls always set wide open. It cleans up nicely when you turn down your guitar volume knob, and pushes your amp hard when you turn it up. It has the same gain structure and tone stack as the The Juliet Collective's “This Kingdom By the Sea” fuzz/distortion, but without the clipping circuit so there is no reduction in the volume. Yep, it’s loud."
This description is from The Juliet Collective’s website:
“The Crash Override is a gnarly, loud, and boisterous monster of an overdrive guitar pedal. It removes the clipping circuit from its sister, 'This Kingdom By the Sea,' and pegs the output with everything it has to overdrive the first preamp stage of your amplifier. A determined little box, it does what it wants to. You just hold on for the ride."
“With knobs only for the lows and highs in the tone circuit, the crash override doesn't even have a volume. It plays at 22 (which is doubly as loud as anything imagined before) and does everything to piss your amp and your neighbors off. Don't say you weren't warned.”
