Neve 1066 Microphone Preamp/3-Band EQ Conversion from 2068 #7024 (Vintage)

This unit is an original Neve 2068 broadcast module professionally converted to 1066 specification through the installation of vintage components and period-correct modifications. The result is, for all intents and purposes, a fully functional 1066 mic pre/EQ. Recently recapped and in excellent working order!

Transformer complement includes all genuine Marinair units: LI.10468/S mic input transformer, LI.31267/S line input transformer, and LO1166 output transformer — the correct and desirable configuration found in original 1066 modules. The discrete Class A gain stage features an original Motorola 2N3055 NPN transistor, with the 5.1K resistor removed as part of the conversion.

The Neve 1066 Mic Pre/3-Band EQ is a classic, discrete 3-band EQ/Pre, with high-pass filter. Fat 'Neve' low end, with the sensible midrange points and sweet hi end. Top end is 10K instead of 12k as on a 1073, and low/mids frequencies are just different enough to those of a 1073 to make them a nice complement to each other.

• High-pass filter points at 45, 70, 160, 360 Hz
• Low EQ points: 35, 60, 100 220 Hz
• Mid EQ points: 700 Hz, 1.2, 2.4, 3.6, 7 KHz
• Separate mic and line inputs
• Mic input attenuation from +10 to -80 dB in 5 dB increments
• Line input attenuation from +10 to -20 dB in 5 dB increments
• Hi/Lo impedance switch on rear of unit
