2007 Fender American Series Stratocaster HSS – Sienna Sunburst / Ash Body + Original Hard Clamshell Case

This is a genuinely beautiful guitar. The sienna burst finish on an ash body gives it a warmth and depth you don’t often see on a Strat — the grain comes through and the colour shifts nicely depending on the light. It photographs well, but it looks even better in person.

The HSS configuration gives you real versatility straight out of the box. The Diamondback humbucker in the bridge position handles everything from warm, clean tones to crunch without turning muddy, while the Tex-Mex single coils in the middle and neck positions deliver the classic Strat clarity and twang.

What sets this guitar apart from later American Standard HSS models is the S-1 switching system. A simple press of a button on the volume knob gives you five additional pickup combinations beyond what the standard 5-way blade switch provides, all without changing the look of the guitar in any way. These include new series and parallel wiring combinations that open up a genuinely wide tonal palette. Fender dropped the S-1 system when they relaunched the American Standard line in 2008, so this is a feature you won’t find on the more common versions of this guitar.

Playability-wise, the modern C-shape maple neck is comfortable and fast, with a 9.5” radius fingerboard that sits in a sweet spot between vintage feel and contemporary playability. The two-point synchronized tremolo is smooth and returns to pitch reliably.

The guitar is in near-new condition with only an almost imperceptible ding on the fretboard at the 13th fret and a slight scuff on the bottom edge. Neither affects playability or tone in any way and I’ve included photos of both so you know exactly what you’re getting.

Comes with the original Fender hard clamshell case, which is in solid condition and fits the guitar perfectly.

At this price, this is a great value American-made Strat from the premium Standard line, ready to go straight to a stage or studio.
