Item Description

The Denon DP-80 is a direct-drive turntable that was released in Japan in 1978, during the "Golden Era" of Japanese audiophile equipment. Though this turntable does not have a mainstream following outside of Japan, amongst Japan-savvy audiophiles the DP-80 has a phenomenal reputation for its high-quality playback performance and near-instantaneous stabilization of rotation speed. It features a 3-phase AC servo motor with DENON's unique high-precision magnetic recording detection method, for detecting the frequency and phase. Because of this feature, the rotational speed deviation is remarkably low (<0.002%). This turntable overall sounds fantastic. This turntable come with SAEC WE-308SX tone arm.

This turntable is in Very Good condition, with some sigh of aging including scratches and scuffs (please see photos). The dust cover has a scratches and scuffs (Please check photos and refer to dust cover policy).This turntable has been thoroughly checked and tested by our professional technician, confirming its flawless operation. Both 33 and 45 settings work perfectly, and the platter rotation is like clockwork.
