The Roland FANTOM-7EX is a 76-key flagship synthesizer workstation offering the full power of Roland's FANTOM EX platform with an extended-range keyboard. 76-Key Semi-Weighted Keyboard

The FANTOM-7EX provides 76 semi-weighted keys with channel aftertouch, giving players the additional octave-plus range needed for two-handed piano performance, complex splits, and layered patches, while retaining the fast synth-action response ideal for leads and pad work. It shares the same internal architecture as the entire FANTOM EX series, with all differences limited to keyboard configuration, dimensions, and weight.

Five sound engines work in concert: ZEN-Core (up to 256-voice polyphony with PCM and virtual analog synthesis), ACB (component-level analog circuit modeling), V-Piano (physically modeled grand pianos), SuperNATURAL (expressive acoustic and electric instruments), and VTW (tonewheel organ). Eleven expansion titles come preinstalled, including JUPITER-8, SH-101, and JX-3P ACB Expansions; n/zyme, JD-800, JUNO-106, JUPITER-8, JX-8P, and SH-101 Model Expansions; the German Concert V-Piano Expansion 01; and the SuperNATURAL Acoustic Piano 3 Expansion.

The n/zyme engine adds wavetable synthesis with phase and shape modulation and dual Step LFOs. Two CV/Gate outputs connect to modular systems. A 6-in/32-out USB audio interface (24-bit/48 kHz) provides comprehensive DAW integration, and the 16-track sequencer with TR-REC handles onboard production. At 39 lbs 1 oz, the FANTOM-7EX balances professional capability with manageable stage weight.
