The new 8TT-2 Reproduce Test Tape is an original master recording meticulously crafted to NAB standards on a custom transport, delivering the highest accuracy and consistency available. We've taken the industry-leading accuracy of the 8TT-1 and built upon it, adding key test signals that allow for crucial adjustments previously not possible—with many adjustments requiring nothing more than your ears and a stopwatch to perform, or use test equipment, such as AnlenAudio’s inexpensive ATS-1 software for added accuracy.

We've added essential signals to make professional-level calibration easier than ever, often without expensive lab equipment!

• Head Height & Crosstalk: New 125Hz signal for precise track adjustment.
• Tape Speed: Unique 60Hz/1kHz composite signal lets you verify speed with a frequency counter—or even just a smartphone stopwatch.
• Wow & Flutter Tone: To audibly check for wow & flutter.
• Dolby Level: 400Hz Dolby Tone for perfect calibration of recorders with built-in (Realistic, Wollensak, Pioneer, etc.) or external Dolby Noise Reduction (Teac, Sony, etc.).
• Easier Azimuth: Dedicated 8kHz tone for quick, accurate head alignment.

The 8TT-2 gives you the power to completely adjust azimuth, head height, reproduce level, and high-frequency equalization. It still includes our exclusive ToggleTone for high-frequency checks and comes loaded on a new cartridge with a fresh pressure pad and back-lubricated tape.

Precision Verified: Every tape is serial numbered and includes a detailed QC report with actual measurements (not just a generic chart) confirming its adherence to the NAB standard. Detailed easy-to-follow printed instructions are included.
