The legendary Echoplex Tape Delay was the secret weapon of many guitar heroes like Jimmy Page, Eddie van Halen etc. With the preamp of the Echoplex you can power the tube amps in an excellent way. The preamp of the delay is by no means sound-neutral - it gives the amp a characteristic, unique tone coloration. With the Epoch Boost, Catalinbread has packed this legendary circuit into a handy boost pedal: the Epoch Boost. The circuit is based on the original Echoplex - NOS Orange Drop Capacitors and has an internal operating voltage of 22 Volts, just like the original. An Input Buffer can be activated on the board with a mini switch - the original Echoplex worked with the same buffer level. A classic "Always On" pedal that can be perfectly controlled with the volume Potentiometer of the guitar.
