1954 Fender Tweed Deluxe model 5D3! Very rare transitional model before going into the 5E3. First deluxe utilizing 9 pin tubes in the pre amp! (12ay7 & 12ax7) This amplifier retains almost all of its originality, including its tweed and transformers! It’ has been fully serviced, including a full recap using high quality jupiter caps, any out of spec resistors replaced, also recieved a deep internal cleaning, and lastly got a freshly reconed vintage Jensen P12N! This amplifier is absolutely amazing and sounds incredible! The tweed deluxes are renowned as some of the best sounding fender amplifiers and for good reason! Some argue that the 5E3 is the Holy grail of all and some argue that 5D3 tops it! Whatever your opinion, this one is definitely one of the best tweed boxes I’ve had the chance to play!
