I have 2 of these special Fender labeled Oxford 10J4 10 inch speakers----the other which has been re-ceoned is listed seperatly. I have seen these speakers used in Fender Princeton amps and PAs and have heard of them being used in a Fender Tremolux. 465-722 indicates that this Oxford speaker was produced the 22nd week of 1977. This speaker is beautiful cosmetically but if you look carefully at the pics, you will notice that it has several very small tears in the paper near the edge....in the last 3 pics I am pushing on the paper to open the tear so you can see it better. This appears to be a 32 Ohm speaker. According to Carl at South Florida Speaker Repair this speaker could be doped around the edge and should work fine. I'm leaving it as it is, you can play it as is, dope the edge or recone it.
Local checkout and pickup are available here in South Florida, we can pop it/them in your amp or cab to test the sound.
