The CZ-1000 features three sets of 8-stage envelope sections for extensive sound modulation. The first envelope adjusts DCO pitch over time, while the second modifies the Phase Angle (similar to filtering), and the third controls the volume through the DCA amplifier. For further sonic manipulation, the synthesizer includes four types of Vibrato-with triangle, square, ramp up, and ramp down waveforms-along with adjustable rate, depth, and delay settings. You can also add a classic glide effect with Portamento.

With 4-note polyphony and features like built-in noise and ring modulation, the CZ-1000 is equipped to handle a range of sounds. It offers MIDI capabilities with 4 monophonic multitimbral parts, although storage is limited to just 32 patches (16 preset and 16 user).

The CZ-1000 is essentially a CZ-101 with full-sized keys, paving the way for the more advanced CZ-3000 and CZ-5000, which offer enhanced features and a more professional design.
