I don't know who made this hunting or military horn and when. A long search on the Internet did not give any results and I could not determine who made this horn.

I looked through a huge number of photos on this topic and came to the conclusion that, most likely, it was made in France or Great Britain in the 60s of the last century. That is, it is about 85 years old.
Such forms, in my opinion, are typical for these countries, given their culture and traditions.

The horn is made of high-quality brass, has a long-term patina, which I did not remove. I sell a lot of brass and copper products, and my customers are divided roughly in half: some like long-lasting patina and look for products with exactly these characteristics, while others, on the contrary, like polished brass and copper. Therefore, the patina is preserved.

I tried it - it works and makes a characteristic sound that I usually heard when hunting wild boars, deer, elk and wolves. But it could also be a military bugle or a bugle that was used in the navy. You hear such a sound once and you will never confuse it. I cannot give an exact answer.

The horn is equipped with a nickel-plated mouthpiece, which is fixed to it with an openwork chain.
In my opinion, such a thing will organically fit into the stylish design of an office, bar, restaurant or house built in the best traditions of the classical style. But at the same time, you can always take the horn off the wall and go with it into nature in search of adventure and thrills.
