The Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer needs very little introduction.
Originally introduced in the early 1980s, the TS9 became one of the defining overdrive pedals in guitar history. Ibanez brought the model back in the early 1990s, closely following the original TS9 design and construction.
This example dates to approximately 1994 and is fitted with a Toshiba TA75558 op-amp, the same chip family used in many original TS9s and selected for the early reissue series when Ibanez revived the pedal.
Sonically, this is classic Tube Screamer territory: smooth overdrive, a pronounced but musical midrange, controlled low end, and enough output to push the front end of a tube amp.

The three controls keep things simple:

• Overdrive controls the amount of gain and clipping
• Tone adjusts the overall brightness and attack
• Level sets the output volume

With the Overdrive kept low and the Level raised, the TS9 works particularly well as a mid-focused boost into an already overdriven amplifier.
Turn the Overdrive up and it becomes the familiar smooth, compressed drive sound that has made the Tube Screamer a pedalboard standard for decades.
This example has a warm, smooth character and remains fully functional.

Condition
Very Good used condition.
The pedal shows cosmetic wear, scratches, and other marks consistent with age and normal use.
The controls, footswitch, input/output jacks, and effect operate properly.
