The BJF Buffer Split has various uses which makes it an extremely versatile utility box to have on your pedalboard. It combines the functions of the 1 Loop Box and AB Box. It can be used as:

It can also function as a basic latching footswitch to control various functions of amplifiers (the controlled parameter varies based on your specific amplifier).
The BJF Buffer Split has two dipswitches on the side of the unit that, in conjunction with each other, control the function of the footswitch and signal path. The top switch determines whether the unit operates in A/B mode or ABY mode, while the bottom toggles the buffer. Various combinations result in the unit operating as a buffered effects loop, latching footswitch, or an input/output splitter. For more information, see the .
