Hinger Touch-Tone Concert Snare Drum #629.  This rare and outstanding drum is in excellent condition. The drum was purchased from Al Payson, retired Percussionist of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

As with all Hinger snare drums, it is very sensitive at soft dynamic ranges and powerful at loud dynamics. The original paper tag is present inside the drum showing the #629. The drum has an original "Hinger" Remo Coated Emperor head on top - the second layer of the head has been cut away essentially leaving the top head as an Ambassador weight head with a muffling ring underneath; and a clear Diplomat snare head on the bottom; the drum was purchased with the snare head in this condition and a new head will be provided to the purchaser. There are original Hinger cable snares on the drum.

The drum is in mint condition and looks brand new. The original throw-off works smoothly as it should.

The drum comes with a hard-shell padded Humes & Berg Enduro case.

These drums are rare and only a few of them are left.

This is a high-quality professional level instrument, and appropriate for a member of a professional orchestra, full-time working professional percussionist, or a college or university percussion instructor.
