Debuted in 1980, the Electro-Harmonix Attack Decay was prized for its ability to produce mesmerizing swells, backward tape effects, and bowed instrument sounds. Now, musicians can experience its mind-bending tones all over again with the new-and-improved Pico Attack Decay. Featuring an intuitive interface, mono/poly modes, and a compact enclosure, the Electro-Harmonix Pico Attack Decay is perfect for players seeking a top-notch envelope pedal with tons of wild tones under the hood.
Like the 1980 model, the EHX Pico Attack Decay can produce a single volume envelope on notes you play - but that can be very limiting. That's why the new unit boasts a switchable poly mode, activating separate volume envelopes on every note you play. But that's not the only update this pedal has. With its Pico-sized chassis, this stompbox can fit on virtually any pedalboard.
The Pico Attack Decay's streamlined interface makes it painless to find your favorite sounds. Use the ATTACK and DECAY knobs to control the fade-in and fade-out speeds of the envelope. If you want short, punchy notes with a slightly "synthy" character, increase the DECAY. The SENS knob adjusts the threshold of the envelope, while VOL changes the pedal's output volume. There's even a hidden BLEND control for players who want to mix their dry signal with the Pico Attack Decay.
If you're a vintage pedal buff chasing the old-school tone of the 1980 Attack Decay, you can't go wrong with this incredible EHX stompbox. Not only does it sound just like the original model, but it's pared-down, allowing musicians to get the best sound and features without having to tweak too many settings. Plus, it ships with a power adapter, a benefit for players who don't want to make an additional trip to the store.
