The Green Russian is maybe the most versatile Big Muff, great on both guitar and bass. This new edition offers the same growl and punch in a smaller enclosing. To my ears, it behaves better when paired to an amplifier with a rich midrange. It is also great when coupled to an analog delay. As customary for Electro-Harmonix, construction is rock solid and price is affordable. Buyers beware: this little goblin could become the gateway to a Big Muff addition..
