This thing is fantastic and sounds amazing! It has a rich, elegant, and harmonically dense sound that will sweeten and add a vibe to anything you use it on. The build quality and components are far superior to all the other 1176 clones out there. Stam Audio is a direct-to-consumer company and this is your chance to get one of these right away and skip the long waiting list! I waited 9 months for this one when I ordered it a few years back! Fantastic on Vocals, Bass, Snare, pretty much anything.

It's been used in a smoke-free professional recording studio and has never been on the road.

The Stam Audio SA-76 is an exact replica of the most revered revision of the UREI 1176 FET compressor, Revision A

The SA-76 features a Sowter 1260 input transformer, which is an identical replica of the original UTC O-12 (Ratio 1:1.58 200/500 Ohms) and a CineMag output transformer that precisely matches the ratio and frequency response of the original 5002 output transformer designed by Bill Putnam. They have made no compromise in parts such as Vishay capacitors, NOS carbon resistors and matched selected transistors to ensure you will get the best-sounding unit without cutting any corners. All of the SA-76 are calibrated in Stam Audio workshop in Chile where they get their transformers soldered, a full health check, and a burn for 24 hours.
