Up for sale, a 1966 Gibson ES-330 TDC in perfect working order, finished in vibrant Cherry nitro lacquer and complete with a hardshell case. With plenty of natural playwear and a particularly bold, lively natural acoustic quality, this ES-330 has been outfitted with a pair of boutique Lollar P-90 pickups and an aged Bigsby B7 vibrato tailpiece.

Lollar's P-90s are some of the most celebrated P-90s on the market, very faithful to vintage Gibson spec with a glassy sparkle and dynamic, percussive cut. There's plenty of midrange bark and growl on tap, and while the bridge pickup has a snappier, slightly more aggressive quality, the neck pickup is big and broad, retaining the articulation necessary for complex chording. The guitar weighs 6lbs 12oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action and spot-on intonation.

The one-piece mahogany neck has a medium depth C-shaped profile carve at the nut, with a gentle increase in additional heft further up the fretboard, measuring .845" deep at the 1st fret and .990" at the 12th. The Brazilian rosewood fretboard has been refretted with jumbo fretwire, and the frets have been subsequently leveled and crowned, showing no wear and playing cleanly up the 24 3/4" scale with a straight neck. The nut measures 1 9/16" in width, upgraded to bone. On the headstock, the original Kluson Deluxe double line tuners turn smoothly and hold pitch well. A different tuner set was at one time fitted, with some additional cleanly doweled and touched-up mounting holes just beyond the footprint of the Klusons.

The electronics all function as intended, and the Lollar P-90 pair has been fitted with the original chrome dogear pickup covers. The pickup cavities have been slightly enlarged for humbuckers, and the P-90 covers mask any minimal additional routing. The chrome-plated ABR-1 bridge is original, with nylon saddles and the correct foundry stamp on the base, while the Bigsby B7 vibrato is a modern, aged replacement (the guitar had previously had a Bigsby mounted). Plastics are all original, comprising a quartet of black reflector cap knobs and the four-ply wide bevel pickguard. The model stamp is visible through the F hole.

The original Cherry nitro lacquer finish is particularly dark and rich, with prominent forearm wear through the lacquer and additional finish loss on the back at the bass-side waist. There is vertical lacquer checking on the body, and horizontal checking on the neck, particularly on the heel. Cosmetic wear is otherwise limited to some finish scratches and minor marks consistent with use, and there is palm wear down to the bare mahogany on the profile shoulders behind frets 1-6.

A black tolex hardshell case with red plush interior is included.
