About This Listing

The unusual body style of this Fender lap steel, particularly the horseshoe pickup* and the separated volume & tone controls, suggests that its vintage is definitely late 40s - early 50s. And there is the matter of the serial number: B522! (Some lap steels of this era had an "organ button;" this one does not.)

Comes in its original tweed case, and includes both a bullet & a bar steel. There are regular wound guitar strings on it. Sorry.

*Pickup re-magnetized in 2007 by Jason Lollar. Receipt included.
