For sale today is an amazing arch top, the Epiphone Zenith from 1936 in sunburst finish. This was made by Epiphone of New York. I've dated the guitar to 1936 with the serial # (106043), the walnut back/sides and the styling of the headstock. It is in pretty darn good shape for its almost 90 years being played and loved.

The sunburst finish on the top looks pretty good with a few spots of wear and missing finish but is crack free. The laminate Walnut back/sides are also crack free, but are missing bits of their finish and lacquer from belt wear and general use over the years. The bridge is a replacement but the fit is perfect to the carve of the top. The binding has started to deteriorate and crumble which is why you see some areas in the photos where it is missing. I did my best to include photos of all areas that this is occurring. The play action is incredible and super comfortable. It appears to have gotten a re-fret relatively recently as there is almost no fret wear to speak of. It is currently set up with flats and has a fantastic chunk when you playing the jazz chords. It intonates well and has a strong sound with the tone being more focused in the bottom end. Please let us know if you have any questions on this great, historic arch top and we will do our best to help. Thanks for looking an have a great day!
