About This Listing

When considering any purchase, know exactly who you are dealing with. Please read our ‘about us’ page.

Hofners come one of two ways - really good or total dogs. This one is really good. Shes all there, perfect neck joint, proper relief, low action and the bridge can still come down more if desired but not needed. Comes with a nice Hofner '60s Reissue hard case from a German bass. The features put this squarely in the late 71 to early 75 range but could be 70 to 78. We and the prior seller dealer both feel its a 1974 but as you know it is impossible to 100% date a Hofner except by feature. Cool thing is I know most of the history on this bass going back 40 or so years and will be glad to share it. Cosmetically shes nice but has a few typical weather checks in the finish. Some guys call them mistakenly cracks - these are not cracks, its only in the paint. The pictures tell the accurate story. Very nice gig-monster worthy bass!

EVERY item sold by us has a thorough inspection and a complete set up. If the strings are stale they are replaced. If applicable if batteries are near exp date - they are changed. Nothing leaves the shop less than perfect playing condition. That is the Kebo's advantage.
