Up for is a loaded Telecaster project body. I bought the unbranded body used in 2020 for a pandemic project. While the body has noticeable finish and cosmetic imperfections, the electronic components (Mojotone Broadcaster Quiet Coil pickups and an Emerson Custom 3-way prewired harness with 500k pots) were bought new in 2020 and are in very good shape. The body is wired up and plays/sounds just fine.
The body has double binding and a sunburst finish with some notable finish chips, scratches and defects (including a large finish chip near the control panel, another large finish chip near the output jack, a noticeable scratch on the upper side of the body, several finish imperfections/pockmarks on the back, and other scratches/pockmarks throughout. Check the photos. I wired it up for a project and planned to refinish it but never got around to completing the job.
The neck pickup cavity is routed for a humbucker and is copper tape shielded. The bridge cavity is routed for a standard Tele bridge pickup and is not shielded. The string-thru body includes ferrules, a generic Tele bridge, and a generic 8-hole 3-ply cream-black-cream pickguard (but only drilled for 5 holes). It also includes an authentic Fender control plate, volume/tone knobs, and switch tip. It does not have strap buttons installed.
The installed pickups are Mojotone Broadcaster Quiet Coil single coils, and they sound incredible with the Emerson Custom 3-way prewired Telecaster harness. The 500k pots are recommended for these pickups, and the whole setup plays beautifully. I included a few screenshots with some of the details for the pickups and electronics.
I‘d prefer to sell the loaded body as a whole to help me downsize before moving cross-country in May, but I can part it out and create a separate listing if you’re interested in just the body, pickups, or wiring harness, etc. Just reach out to me and let me know if you have any questions!
