Here for sale is an almost new B&S 3145 Challenger I flugel. The horn features a .413" bore with an almost 6" bell, giving quite a bit of flexibility on sound with the minimal effort. B&S promotes this as the perfect doubler, and it shows, as it is a very easy switch straight from trumpet, unlike some flugels where you need to dial in the air to make it work. The intonation is spot on throughout the range, and the trigger is comfortable and quick to action on D/C#. The horn is in close to pristine condition, other than a few spots of acid bleed on the bell. New they are over $3000, so this is quite a bargain! Does not come with a case
What B&S says about the flugel:
"The B&S 3145 Challenger I Bb Flugelhorn is an entry level professional Bb flugelhorn and provides a perfect balance of performance and price for the doubling trumpet player. It features a .413” bore which allows the player to be flexible while the hand-hammered bell produces a full resonant sound."
