Up for grabs is ONE pair of new old stock (with clear plastic packaging) Vic Firth T3 - AMERICAN CUSTOM TIMPANI - STACCATO MALLETS.

Product Details:

vicfirth.com/products/american-customr-timpani-staccato

Medium hard for rhythmic articulation.

-----

The Vic Firth American Custom T3 Staccato Timpani Mallets are medium hard for rhythmic articulation. Great for when you need to cut through and be heard without overwhelming the room.  Also works well on drum set for a different flavor. Vic Firth American Custom Timpani Mallets are turned from a single piece of rock maple, which eliminates a core that could rattle and the need for a screw-on washer to secure the head. <<< This information was taken from this website: drumswest.com/vic-firth-t3-staccato-timpani-mallets/

------

  • Full Length: 14 and 1/2"
  • Head Diameter (across): 1 and 1/4"
  • Head Height (up / down): about 1 and 1/8"
  • Head material/color: Felt/White
  • Handle Material: Hickory - but more likely - one piece Rock Maple
  • [NOTE: according to the Vic Firth website - SEE above link (below Product Details) - the hanles are made out of Hickory). But some sites say that they are made of Rock Maple]... I've contacted Vic Firth Customer Service to hopefully get answer. I'll update the wood material after I get an answer.
  • Application: Concert
  • Family: Timpani

I got these mallets back in 2019 (even back then - they were in "new" old stock condition).

I was planning to sell them sooner- but was kind of busy. Finally getting a chance to sell them now.

The mallets are in MINT condition (the white felt just has natural imperfections - nothing serious).

The clear packaging is in between Very Good and Good shape.

--

The mallets are fine / unused condition.

The white felt balls are fine . As I mentioned above - the white felt just has natural imperfections - nothing serious. The handles are fine (NOTE: I' m prettty sure the the handles are made out off one piece rock maple. But he Vic Firth Website says that the handles are birch). You probably know more about this than I do.

The logos on the handles are fine.

The clear plastic packaging has some visibe aging same some visible wear.

  • The clear plastic baggie has aged / yellowed. It has several visible imperfections: some cloudiness, some surfce residue causing the cloudiness, some discoloration, some creases, some uneveness, some nicks, several light scratches, a few holes, and a couple of factory made holes.

Below are links of the other mallets that I have listed on REVERB.

  • Please message me if you plan to purchase any other mallets in additon to the Vic Firth T3 pair.

NOTE: Not listed - I have more mallets by other companies. Hopefully I can create a list for you to view (because there are too many to list in a short duration of time).

Here are links for the mallets that I have listed:

=====

I took several pictures of the mallets and there are a few pictures of the packaging.

NOTE: There may be a few minor imperfections that I overlooked. There maybe a few minor imperfections that can be seen in person that do not appear in the pictures. Also - there are some imperfections (glares, reflections. dust specks) that show up in the pictures that are not that visible in person.
