A brand new pair of Borba 15" hi-hats weighing in at 960 and 1218 grams. Broad and dark, with a nice transparency in the tone and a little bit of grit when you need it.

“Officially launched in April 2021, Borba Cymbals is a one man, independent cymbal crafting operation. Founder Brett Borba transforms Turkish B20 bronze blanks into high quality instruments in his small workshop in sunny California.

Each flat disc of Turkish B20 bronze (blank) is hand hammered, then lathed to remove the outer crust, and finally tuned in order to produce desired shapes, stick feels and sonic characteristics. Hand hammering and specifically forming the bells by hand produces characteristics unduplicable with machine pressed/hammered cymbals. Hand formed bells produce a rich and unique character. Each cymbal will be a completely unique instrument unto itself;  distinct in sound, appearance and feel. All cymbals will recieve a subtle lasered trademark, along with the size and weight and a hand-engraved signature under the bell.”
