This is a 1952 or 1953 Epiphone Zenith model. It has a wonderful warm tone as you would expect and a lot of volume and projection. The front and rare binding have been recently restored/replaced by pro Luthier Dale Roberts. So the binding should be good for the next 70 years! The guitar is structurally sound and has decent frets on it with some grooving down in the1st - 5th frets. At some point this instrument had a floating pickup system on it, there are 2 small holes under the strings and two small holes and control plate out line down near the edge. Guessing it had a DeArmond on it? I set it up with D'addario Phosphor Bronze strings but flat wound or half wound stings can be switched out of course. It's not a mint perfect vintage piece but a fantastic player. Please see the pictures and detail shots.

The case is old and structurally fine but it does have ware on it especially on the bottom. It's done its job well. I don't think it's the original.
