Fender Custom Shop wishes they could relic like this. You are looking at all natural original paint and wear. This beast is distilled awesomeness.
The first thing you should ask when buying a 70's Stratocaster is, "How much does it weigh?"
Folks, this one is 7lbs14oz- which is almost unheard of for a 70's Strat. (Which can sometimes be over 11 lbs!)
The second thing you should ask is "How tight is the neck pocket?" Fender had some real loose tolerances in the 70's.
Happy to report this has a great neck pocket. One of the tightest I've seen on any 70's strat.
And, this thing just oozes mojo.
It has the period correct upgraded brass bits. Hard Tail Bridge, input jack, string tree (missing one), strap pegs and even the switch tip- all Brass. And it is topped off with early gold Schaller tuners.
What you are left with is a freakin fantastic 70's stratocaster. Everything under the pickguard looks original to my knowlege, except the volume pot. There is no extra routing under there .
Will ship it in a hard case for you but alas I don't have the original one.
