About This Listing

Serious Inquiries only please!

Please Check out my other Reverb items!

More Detailed pictures to follow, I just wanted to get this deck listed before the week was out!

The turntable is not ALL re-assembled as of today, Wednesday 02/28/24. I will have it all dialed in and assembled before shipping it out to its new owner!

Just so you can see how much these items are individually! Please look at my other listings.

You can see the SME Tonearm and the Shure Cartridge listed individually for a total of $1498 combined when shipped, so if you do the math for this listing, you are getting the turntable itself added with everything for just $201 more, shipped!

This turntable is heavy too! In total it will be around 45 lbs. double boxed!

PLEASE NOTE: I Provide Reverb Safe Shipping RSS with everything I sell and ship. And, I pay for this protection out of my own pocket. Sometimes it can cost me in excess of $60 depending on the item being protected. I believe this Mint Kenwood KD-500 will cost me around $60 to insure! This coverage protects both you, the buyer, and me, the seller, against loss or damage during shipment. And, I never sell ANY of my items "As-Is". All my items are guaranteed to look and function as advertised or I will gladly accept a return. What other sellers provide that kind of service? The answer is: Very few, take a look and see!

I am the second owner!

The turntable was Made only two years 1977-1978 and the Tone arm is contemporary with the TT!

Meticulously taken care of all these years!  Clean inside and out! Functions flawlessly!

ONLY ONE ON REVERB FROM THE USA!

THERE IS ONE OTHER LISTED ON REVERB, FROM SPAIN, BUT IT HAS BEEN ALTERED (PAINTED BLUE, WHAT?) AND NO DUSTCOVER WITH THE SAME ARM AND INFERIOR CARTRIDGE FOR $1120!

This turntable is a work of art like a fine piece of Midcentury Modern Furniture and would go well with that time period of furniture among others!

One, Rare, Hard To Find, Fully Manual, 2-speed, Direct Drive Turntable. Comes equipped with a Like New, Old Stock, SME 3009 Series III, Shure V-15 Type III cartridge with an OEM stylus which is still available elsewhere online! So, The Shure cartridge and stylus is valued at $400 or more! Rare and Hard to Find this Turntable and Tone Arm. The cartridge is rare but with an easily replaceable Stylus (Needle). Absolutely Amazing sound!

This Turntable Excellent Cosmetically and Mint Functionally. It looks and works like new. There are probably only a few small imperfections throughout, a couple on the base and on the dustcover combined, all must be looked for in order to see as they are not easy to see at all!

I have taken this unit completely apart and lubricated the tone arm and all the pots and lubricated the spindle!  It works flawlessly!

The Rare Tone Arm and Cartridge combo which is worth around $1500 alone.

This is a Rare model of Kenwood turntable and was made in only the years of 1977-1978. The sleek styling and minimalistic design makes this turntable a Rare and Unique find!

I continually offer Rare, High-end Turntables on Reverb because they are very sought after these days! I sell an average of three turntable each and every month on Reverb, and why? because of their consistent sound and worry-free performance!

In General, what follows are the shipping parameters! Please Note: This following shipping timetable is a guideline and not set in stone. Extenuating circumstance from the shipper or from my personal life can sometimes delay shipment. Things like delays due to Covid-19 which impacts staff shortages and supply chains, multiple buys on this platform in a short amount of time for example, 10 items sold in a 7-day period, or the illness of a child or my own illness or a fire or flood or an earthquake. I understand that most of the latter types of these occurrences are rare. But, even Huge insurance companies allow for Force Majeure (look it up). And, please understand that I am only one person and if you want the rare vintage item you bought to arrive in the same condition it left me, it will take time to pack it and ship it right! And, if something happens like an extenuating circumstance, it will take a little more time to ship! Thank you for your understanding!

So, in general, if bought and paid for Monday through Thursday, I will ship out within 72 hours (business days, not Weekends). If bought Friday, Saturday or Sunday I will ship out no later than the following Wednesday! I don't quickly or sloppily pack and ship. I agonize over picking the proper packing materials and proper boxes which I buy for the item AFTER the item is sold. I have dozens of vintage audio items available for sale and I DO NOT HAVE THEM PACKED AND READY FOR SHIPMENT BEFORE THEY ARE SOLD, I DON'T DO IT LIKE THAT! I AM NOT AMAZON OR A LARGE ONLINE COMPANY, I AM A SOLE PROPRIETOR OF A LARGE COLLECTION OF VINTAGE AUDIO ITEMS THAT MY FAMILY COLLECTED OVER 60 YEARS. When you receive your turntable in the same condition as it left me, you will thank me! Please, look at my feedback regarding Packing and Shipping! Price is Firm! However, the price is Negotiable If you buy 2 or more of my Reverb items concurrently.

Ships from San Marcos, CA. Packed safely and securely. I ALWAYS use the (RSS) Reverb Safe Shipping option when shipping an item I have sold in order to protect both you and me, I typically lose money on shipping because of this because RSS costs money. The more rare or valuable an item is, the more it costs to insure! In addition, I don't ship quickly or cheaply. Why sloppily throw a vintage receiver in Excellent condition into a box or poorly wrap it so it gets damaged in transit? I DO NOT DO THAT! I am meticulous with my packaging and I agonize over choosing the proper box that is ideal for each unit. Boxes, especially ones that are the correct dimensions for the item at hand are not always easy to come by. I use high quality double walled electronics boxes especially made for shipping vintage items of this type and if one box in the proper size is unavailable, I use TWO single walled corrugated cardboard boxes, putting one box with the unit in it INSIDE another larger box with even more packing material to fully protect the unit and that especially can be costly.

So, the Price is Firm! However, the price is Negotiable if you bundle and buy 2 or more of my Reverb items concurrently!

Thanks ; )
