1969 Gibson Eb0 “Walnut“ 7.5 LBS Featherweight Short Scale Bass OHSC

This Eb-0 is all original and is a nice light weight example coming in at 7.5 on my scale. The short scale neck is especially comfortable, it’s chunky yet nice and slim towards the first frets. The natural “Walnut“ finish less common and has a beautiful patina.

This bass is original and has no repairs or touch ups at all. It includes the original case, which is in great condition, although it is missing the handle. This bass also has the original bridge-mute, although the foam will need to be replaced if you are wanting to use it. The neck is nice and straight and the frets have lots of life left. The truss rod turns in both directions and there is plenty of room for future adjustments. There are minor cosmetic imperfections such as nicks, scratches, scuffs, and finish crazing. The three piece Mahogany neck has one seam line exposed; it is not a crack and there is no separation. The back of the neck has couple of nicks in the finish that are well pictured and do not bother me at all while playing. A setup to the future owners preference is recommended but this bass does play incredibly well with nice low action.
