About This Listing

Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

You'll find a common problem with the Astatic 77 model microphone from the 1950's is that these are often missing one or more thumb screws used to tighten the upper head to get the angle desired. Without the thumb screws the head will simply flop around and even fall off the lower pistol grip.

I am offering for sale an original replacement thumb screw that I have for any Astatic 77 model mic you have with this problem.

The thumb screw as you can seen in pics is very good overall condition. It's a brass piece with the satin chrome finish. Just lite wear from it being tightened with a screw driver over the decades.

If you have an Astatic 77 you'll notice the head loosens often almost every time you angle it. This was not an ideal design from Astatic which is why so many of these seem to work their way loose eventually. You need to use a screw driver to get these to tighten correctly. Also you'll want to put a washer between this thumb screw and your mic as the washer helps to keep the thumb screw tight.

I'm offering one thumb screw for $42.00.

MICROPHONE STAND AND MIC SHOWN ARE FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY...NOT PART OF THIS SALE.

As with all my vintage microphones for sale...

I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. If not...I have a no hassle return policy. The return shipping will be on you as I believe that's fair but the purchase price would be refunded. Simply return in the same nice condition...period. Check my rating. International buyers are welcome as well. BUYER MUST PAY WITHIN 24 HOURS or will lose rights to this item, unpaid item report will be filed and will be re-listed. If you don't intend on buying this...do not commit to buy please. Domestic buyer will get priority shipping.

If you have any questions feel free to ask and...thanks for looking.
