About This Listing

Pono Ukulele only uses solid woods and high quality materials. The new "Kalele Series" gives you all the quality and tone Pono is known for in a natural and affordable package. This series is unembellished but beautiful, and has all the elements of a great ukulele. The feel is ultra-smooth and the tone is sweet and balanced.

This is Honduran solid quarter-sawn mahogany, a high-quality tonewood. The superior acoustic qualities are apparent with this depth and clarity you get with this baritone.

  • All Solid Wood Construction
  • Tusq Nut & Saddle
  • Grover Tuning Keys
  • Adjustable dual-action truss rod
  • TUS Setup Included

This ukulele comes with the upgraded Ko'olau Aho fluorocarbon strings.

A key feature, in all of the Pono tenors and baritones, is the dual-action adjustable truss rod. The truss rod stabilizes and adjusts the lengthwise forward curvature, also called relief, of the neck. It can be easily adjusted from inside the soundhole using the included allen wrench. Over time and with humidity changes this is a very useful option to have.

On offer is the Pono Kalele Series All-Solid Mahogany Baritone you see in the photos - in new condition. I purchased this in November from The Ukulele Site (video below is of this model and recorded by TUS - photos are of the actual ukulele you are buying) and it received their legendary Full Setup with upgraded Ko'olau 'Aho flourocarbon strings. The reason I bought it was so I could play a quality baritone prior to committing to a custom build. Commit I did and now this beauty can be yours. It is pristine.

If you wanted to purchase one of these from TUS it would run you $367 for the uke, $20 for the string upgrade, around $25 to ship it to the mainland, and $50 for the rigid softshell case. That's $462 (or $512 for a rush setup) and it would be worth every penny.

Have this new ukulele in your hands this week - for less.
