Overview

The acoustic-electric 12-string 250ce-BLK Plus offers an alternative sonic flavor for players seeking a new addition to their repertoire, as well as a stylish aesthetic to capture the spotlight. The 250ce Plus 12-string acoustic-electric guitar meets this challenge with a torrefied spruce top and back and sides carved from layered bigleaf maple. Maple’s bright transparency is a natural fit for a 12-string acoustic; Taylor’s approach to voicing maple yields hidden complexity, warm sustain, and an intimate response highly reflective of individual playing styles. The 250ce Plus’s sound is further sweetened by a lightweight Sitka spruce top that’s torrefied (roasted) to remove water, sugars, and organic compounds that might otherwise dampen resonance. This results in a guitar that’s louder and more responsive with mature “played-in” qualities that will only get better with age. Newer players or those with smaller hands have nothing to fear thanks to the slim Taylor Neck, which makes it easier to hold notes and chords. Striking appointments include a full-body glossy black finish, crisp white binding and satin black tuning machines. The 250ce-BLK Plus ships with built-in ES2 electronics and a deluxe hardshell case.
