About This Listing

Hey now! You're looking at an incredibly special, one of a kind custom built guitar.

This is a vintage Gibson EMS-1234 Double Neck Electric Guitar.

We have a normal 6 string, and an octave/tenor - like a 12-string split!

It weighs 9 lbs 9 oz. Guitar scale: 24.50", Tenor scale: 15.75", Guitar nut width: 1.61", Tenor nut width: 1.57".

I called Gibson to confirm that this indeed was a custom build.

I was fortunate enough to purchase an entire collection from a very well known local musician, and he had some incredible guitars.

As incredibly rare as this is being 1/1, (legible pots date to 1969) it is not only completely playable, it's a monster.

Mahogany necks set on a mahogany body lends you all the good ole vintage Gibson tone you could ever want.

Incredible natural resonance and excellent tone transfer. It's one of those special guitars that vibrate against your chest unplugged. It's got volume without being plugged in.

Grabbing up all this amazing tone are a set of Gibson's Patent sticker humbuckers.

Incredible mid-range push, and sustain for days.

Want to create harmonies with yourself? Flip a switch! Let a chord ring out, then rip a solo, just flip that switch!

So cool, that you have the ability to switch between a regular guitar and a tenor guitar all in one.

It's in good vintage condition, especially considering its age.

Just setup, the necks are straight and the frets are clean. All the normal marks you'd expect from a vintage instrument - scratches, marks, dings/dents, finish wear, and some finish cracks.

Please carefully look through all of my detailed photos for a better visual description.

This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to get your hands on the rarest piece of Gibson history.

Thanks for looking!
