About This Listing

For sale is a 1967-68 Slingerland 2 piece bop drum kit. From the “Modern Combo” model 75N as per Slingerland catalog.

Includes:

(diameter/ depth)

10” x 9” concert tom with mount. Two screws on one lug have been replaced and working great. The edges are good, but the bottom reinforcement ring looks a bit out of round, but that side is cosmetic and the top edge looks round and the drum head seats perfectly well and tunes and sounds great.

18" x 14” bass drum with mount and spurs. Two extra visible holes, plus 4 more that are covered by the mount plate and two screws. One hoop is new unfinished, still wrapped. Would need to be painted black and ad the inlay. one set of T-rods is 60’s, the other is early 70’s.

-Slingerland Set-O-Matic series double tom mount post for the bass drum. This is the shorter 7” post version. (over $100 value alone)

These are finished in factory beautiful BDP Black Diamond Pearl wrap. Wrap is in very good condition for its age.

Maple/ poplar/ mahogany 3 ply shells with solid maple reinforcement rings. The core shell is poplar and then there is a thin inner maple veneer and an outer thin mahogany veneer, then the wrap. Tom has factory chrome over brass hoops.

Overall these are in very good condition for over 55 year old shells. They show some cosmetic wear, but they are fully functioning and tune so beautifully. Bearing edges are in good condition. They have surface scratches on the wrap and some pitting/light rust in the chrome.

They sound amazing and look beautiful. They must go to a new appreciating home.

I am selling also a 1966 14” legged floor tom and 12” tom in blue satin flame that I was planning to wrap in BDP to match these. They would make an amazing bop kit!

Very rare sizes. You don’t see these very often.

I am trying to describe in detail to my best ability, so please look at the pictures and ask any questions if needed.
These will be packed nested with extra care.

Lastly, check my other listing for a full set of bop slingerland radio king shells (12”/14”/18” virgin) from the early 60’s, with the mahogany interiors.

International buyers please message me for an exact shipping quote to your country. The buyer is responsible for any import charges to their country.
